BARITE

Barite, a name that was derived from the Greek word “barus” (heavy), is the mineralogical name for barium sulfate. In commerce, the mineral is sometimes referred to as “barytes.” 

The term “primary barite” refers to the first marketable product, which includes crude barite and the products of simple beneficiation methods, such as washing, jigging, heavy media separation, tabling, flotation, and magnetic separation.

Its high specific gravity makes a perfect weighting agent to increase mud density in all types of oil based drilling fluid system. Our products are chemically and physically inert to all drilling fluid additives which are mostly used as high quality weighting agents. We produce Barite confirming API/OCMA Specification. We produce 4.20, 4.10 and 4.00 specific gravity grades.
